My name is Giovanni Guida (JOEBANANA), the founder and owner of Joe Banana Limos, and I provide transfers and excursions all around the beautiful country of Italy.
I was brought up in a tiny village called Moiano which is situated between the Amalfi and Sorrento coasts and spent much of my childhood with my grandfather who sold fruit and vegetables in the area.
He had a little three wheeled van and went from village to village, house to house, selling the freshest produce to families, shops and restaurants. I could always be found hanging off the back of it listening to his stories and the local gossip as he weighed out the fruit and veg whilst enjoying the company and the sunshine, believing I was the luckiest boy in the whole world.
My grandfather was a local legend in Sorrento and around Amalfi and the little boy in the trailer eating bananas became equally famous, eventually becoming known as Jo Banana, and the name stuck. Ask for Giovanni Guida and no one will know who you are talking about.
Ask for Joe Banana and you are sure to find me! I have never forgotten that feeling of ‘being lucky’ and now I would like to share my childhood and knowledge of Italy with those of you who have a desire to come to our beautiful country and experience it.
So, for the past 13 years, I have dedicated my time to chauffeuring people just like yourself to the more, and less, famous regions and cities.
Our fleet of luxury Mercedes sedans and vans can comfortably accommodate from 1 to 8 people and we can also provide shore excursions for groups of up to 53 people.
